Refund Policy

At Multimedia Australia Pty. Ltd. we are committed to providing high quality products and services. In the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, this refund policy explains when we will give a refund.

Our company adheres to the refund policy guidelines for products and services provided by the Queensland Government Office of Fair Trading, as outlined below:

Products

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:

  • has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
  • is unsafe
  • is significantly different from the sample or description
  • doesn't do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can't be easily fixed

Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value.

If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.

Please keep your proof of purchase -e.g. your receipt.

Services

We are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the services you asked for.

But you can choose to cancel your contract, and receive a refund for unconsumed services, if the service has a major problem. This is when the service:

  • has a problem that would have stopped someone from purchasing the service if they had known about it
  • is substantially unfit for its common purpose, and can't be easily fixed within a reasonable time
  • does not meet the specific purpose you aksed for and cannot be easily rectified within a reasonable time
  • creates an unsafe situation

If you choose to continue with the contract, you can ask us to compensate you for any difference in the value of the services we provided and what you paid.

If the probelem is not major, we will fix it within a reasonable time. If it is not fixed within this time, you can choose to have someone else fix the problem and recover all reasonable costs from us. If the problem cannot be fixed, we will view it as a major problem.

Please keep proof of your agreement - eg. your invoice or quote.

Our software

To help ensure that our software products are perfect for your requirements, free fully-functional trial versions of most Multimedia Australia software products are available to download from our website. Comprehensive product and service information is also available. To help you make the right decision, you can also contact a customer service representative.

If you need help using or otherwise installing our software, free technical support is available through us.

Please note that after making your purchase for a software product, you will be supplied with a registration code. Registration codes are changed on a regular basis to deter illegal software piracy. The registration code you are supplied upon completion of your order is valid for the current version of the product available to download from our website, not necessarily the trial version you may have downloaded on a previous occasion.

Since you may not have a physical product to return when requesting a refund for an electronic purchase, we may require you to deactivate the product and/or sign a declaration that you will discontinue use of the product prior to completing your refund.

Miscellaneous

The information in this refund policy is subject to, and/or in addition to, any other legal rights you may have under Queensland legislation.

Please note that Multimedia Australia Pty. Ltd. operates a large number of websites. This refund policy applies only to transactions you have with Multimedia Australia Pty. Ltd. for its products and services. Products and services on other websites we may link to, or products and serices that are otherwise purchased from third parties may be subject to other refund policies.

If you would like to request a refund, exchange, or would like assistance with a product or service you have purchased from us, please contact us.

Uncollected Goods

The following statement has been provided by the Queensland Government Office of Fair Trading in relation to uncollected goods.

The Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1967 (Qld) covers inspection, custody, storage, repair and other treatment of goods. Under this Act, uncollected goods may be sold six months after the date on which they were ready for collection.
